Francis Opoku Mensah
Francis Opoku-Mensah is a seasoned expert in agribusiness financing, entrepreneurship development, and impact fund management with over 12 years of experience in the financial and development sectors. He has worked extensively in agribusiness consulting, loan portfolio management, investment appraisal, and SME capacity building, contributing to economic growth and business sustainability across Ghana, Liberia, Kenya, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Senegal, the USA, and Cyprus.
Currently serving as an SME Technical Assistance Program Manager, Francis has led high-impact initiatives with global and national institutions, including Root Capital Inc, Missio Invest, National Investment Bank (Ghana), Technoserve, Mastercard Foundation, USAID, DFID, and AfD. He has played a key role in developing financing solutions, supporting agricultural value chains, and facilitating entrepreneurship programs for startups and SMEs.
Francis holds an MBA (Magna Cum Laude) from the American College, a BA (Hons) from the University of Ghana, and is a Chartered Banker (ACIB, Ghana). He also holds multiple certifications in investment analysis, credit appraisal, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies.
